Adults

FPC offers adults of all ages, single and married, great opportunities to learn about and grow in the Christian faith. We have dozens of classes and activities on Sunday and during the week in daytime and evening hours. New classes and programs are forming all the time, too, based on the ideas of people like you.

"Young Adults," our 20- and 30-somethings, are involved in the work of the church, the study of the Word, and fellowship with one another.  In addition to Bible Studies, Community Ministry, Social Events, and Small Groups, there are also two Sunday School classes availble.

Sunday Morning Fellowship

Every Sunday morning, Fifield Hall is open between and after worship services, so that members and visitors may gather to mingle with each other and enjoy coffee, juice, and pastries. Various members of the church take turns serving as "greeters" for this fellowship time.

Adult Sunday School Classes

Sunday school classes at FPC are designed to meet a wide variety of individual needs and interests. Except where otherwise noted, Sunday school meets at 10:05 am. During the regular "school year," (September 12, 2010 - May 29, 2010) and at 9 am when we are on the summer schedule (June 5 - September 11, 2011). We would love for you to join a class today.

Small Groups

Disciple Courses

DISCIPLE is an extraordinary Bible study program emphasizing disciplined reading of and listening to Scripture. DISCIPLE's aim is not the accumulation of biblical fact, but the transformation of participants into faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. Each class is limited to 12 to 15 participants. Child care is available for all classes upon request. New classes begin in September. For more information, please contact Lindsay Armstrong at larmstrong@firstpresatl.org or Kevin Knab at kknab@firstpresatl.org

The Fellowship of Men

The men's ministry at FPC includes larger group meetings several times a year for fellowship and small groups of 6 to 10 men meeting on a regular basis for Bible study, mutual support and prayer. We want to encourage men in their discipleship as followers of Jesus Christ and to provide fellowship opportunities for men. Small group are meeting at various times and locations in order to provide a range of options. The larger group meetings are open to all men, regardless of whether they are involved in a small group. For more information, contact Craig Goodrich at cgoodrich@firstpresatl.org or Kevin Knab at kknab@firstpresatl.org.

Presbyterian Women

This organization is among the oldest and most active in this congregation and throughout the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Presbyterian Women at this church meet in 12 small groups, or "Circles" for Bible study, fellowship, and service. Our Presbyterian Women are actively involved in every ministry of the church including the Clothing Closet, Meals-on-Wheels, and the Sunday Prayer Breakfast for homeless persons. For more information, please contact Pam Parrish at pparrish@firstpresatl.org.

Bible Studies

New Bible studies are forming all the time - let us help you find what you're looking for.  Contact Lindsay Armstrong at larmstrong@firstpresatl.org.  During the Lenten season, all are welcome to join us for church-wide Bible studies in small groups. Check the E-Chimes or the Events tab for more information as Lent nears.
