Whether you're a resident of
Atlanta, a newcomer, or planning to move here, we hope you will consider
making your church home at First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta. Visit
us anytime!
During worship, visitors may provide their names, addresses and phone numbers
on the Friendship Pads which are passed along the pews. Every Monday evening, a
group of church members call all first-time visitors. Those who return several
times to our church receive personal visits from a church member or one of our
pastors. We welcome all who profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior to become members
of the congregation of First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta. Members are
received by the Session on profession of faith, reaffirmation of faith, or by
letter from another congregation. Usually people join the church during a
special communion service which is held in Winship Chapel just before the
regular Session meetings in the months of January, March, April, June, August,
September, and November. Those who have not been baptized may receive this
sacrament during the special service. New members are also invited to dinner
before the service where they are introduced to the Session. By Reaffirmation of Faith By Transfer of Membership If you are interested in becoming a member of First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta, we invite you to talk
with one of our ministers at the end of the worship service or you may call the Church Growth Office at
404-228-7737 or send an e-mail to youbelong@firstpresatl.org.
