Caregiver Support Group

If you are caring for an aging loved one, we know that it is stressful, and caregivers often feel alone and a little overwhelmed. Come join our monthly lunchtime Caregiver Support Group brought to you by FPC and Sixty Plus Older Adult Services. Tim Young, a geriatric case manager with years of experience working with older adults, is the facilitator of this group. For more information, call Tim Young at 404-605-3867.

Divorce Support Group

No matter where you are in the divorce process, from separation through divorce and beyond, there are men and women here to support you, people who are going through this emotional change just like you. Call the Samaritan CounselingCenter at 404-228-7777 for details.

Grief Seminars

Grief seminars are offered every year, usually in the spring and fall. The seminars give people opportunity to work through the grief process with others who are experiencing the pain of loss. Each seminar includes four sessions which are led by Rev. Chris Moore-Keish, Parish Associate for our Pastoral Care Ministry.

Postpartum Support Group

Many new mothers experience some brief symptoms of what is commonly called "the blues", but for some women this condition develops into depression. If you think you may be experiencing postpartum depression, treatment is vital to you and your baby. So don't put this off - call the Samaritan Counseling Center at 404-228-7777 to get the schedule for the next meeting of this group. Childcare is available.

This nationally known group was organized at FPC as a weekly support group program for children who have suffered significant loss in their lives due to death, divorce or abandonment. For details and schedule, call 404-228-7719.
