Youth Mission Trips

At First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta, we take to heart this teaching: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witness in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth" (Acts 1:8). We all witness, in many different ways, through our missions program. Volunteers in mission are active here in the city of Atlanta, with international students and scholars, refugees, and children from other countries with serious medical problems.

In partnership with churches and seminaries in Haiti, Brazil, Honduras, Jamaica, and Kenya, we participate in projects impacting healthcare and nutrition, education and agricultural resources. Youth mission trips to Costa Rica and Mexico for 2008. Adult mission trips to Haiti, Jamaica and Kenya are scheduled each year along with a family trip to Brazil planned for July 2008.

The Mission Council celebrates once a year through a Mission Conference the many blessings we have received. This year the Mission Conference will take place from October 31 - November 2, 2008. The guest preacher will be Reverend Hunter Farrell the theme will be, Mission: God-Called, Christ-Centered and Spirit-led.
