Vacation Bible School at FPC

First Presbyterian Church is once again offering an exciting Vacation Bible School June 4-8, 2007.  This year’s theme “Lift off! Soaring to new Heights with God” is based on the beauty and wonder of hot air ballooning and how to soar with God. Through this theme, our children will gain a new altitude while following each day’s flight plans: I Will Follow; I Will Trust; I Will Listen; and I Will Serve. Each age group will experience an exciting and fun filled curriculum specially suited to them.

Ages 3 (by Sept. 1, 2006) - Kindergarten

They will begin and end each day at “Lift Off Rally” where they will discuss the flight plan of the day.  Then they will rotate through High Fly Bible Time in the Chapel, Pilot Projects (crafts), Sky Songs, the Launch Lab (science experiments), and the Cloud Cafe.  The Sky Scouts will take flight on the wings of faith.

1st - 2nd Graders

They will begin their day at “Lift Off Rally” and then go to High Fly Bible Time in their own classroom. The Bible lessons will be geared toward their ages and interests. They will then join the other children in the Launch Lab and Cloud Cafe.  After Launch Lab and Cloud Cafe, they will focus on enhancing the experience in worship by looking at art in worship.  They will spend three days in the Church and one day on a Field Trip to the High Museum.  This specially designed curriculum will make this a fun and exciting adventure! The optional fifth day (Friday, June 8) for all elementary grades will be a fun trip.

3rd - 5th Grade

The 3rd-5th graders will be experiencing “Lift Off! Soaring to New Heights with God” with their own activities.  This will include field trips to service organizations in and around our city.  These Sky Scouts will experience a panoramic veiw of God’s love and launch into action serving others.  The optional fifth day (Friday, June 8) for all elementary grades will be a fun trip.

Click Registration Forms for your children and Volunteer Forms for you.  Please volunteer your time if you are able. Vacation Bible School is a volunteer effort!  You can mail the registration and volunteer forms back to the church or stop by the registration table March 4-May 6.
