The Lay Academy
Founded in 1988, The Lay Academy offers the type of course usually available only to full-time seminary students, in a format appealing to lay persons. Four courses will each offer an opportunity for lay persons to take a deeper look into study topics led by seminary professors. The duration of each class is five Wednesday nights and the cost is $75 per person per course. Discounts are available for retired persons and scholarships are available. Margaret Murphy coordinates the Lay Academy. For more information or to request a brochure, contact Eve Earnest, Director of Christian Education, 404.228.7713 or eearnest@firstpresatl.org.
