The arts are meant to be shared. . .
The School of Fine Arts at First Presbyterian Church seeks to give all of our students chances to share their gifts as they explore their craft. It is through this process of performing that they learn so much about the world around them.
Imagine a young girl just beginning ballet, and having a chance to share what she’s working on for an excited church audience. Imagine a young violinist who leaves his lesson to go directly into orchestra rehearsal where he plays side by side with his teacher!
If this sounds like a great environment for you or your child, don’t miss out! The School of Fine Arts has a world class faculty ready and eager to teach you everything they possibly may.

SPECIAL EVENTS THIS FALL
We have many special events throughout the year that are designed to bring students and faculty together beyond studios and classrooms. Please put these events on your calendars, and make every effort to attend or support as many of them as possible as they are central to our students’ experience here.
Semester I Music Recital, December 11 at 4pm or 5pm, Orchestra Room
The SFA’s outstanding music students share selections of classical music, as well as holiday favorites, from their fall semester of studies. Students will be in either the 4pm or 5 pm recital.
Fall Semester Group Class Performance, December 11 at 2pm, Fifield Hall
Each of the SFA’s preschool classes plays a special role in this marvelous production! A professional quality DVD of the performance will be available at a minimal cost, courtesy of Charlie Whitfield.
