Time of recipes and gratitude with Friend of Refugees at Atlanta
Friends of Refugees staff and fellow partners celebrate refugee recipes from around the world in partnership with the Atlanta Botanical Garden on Saturday, June 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Through cooking demos and shared tastings, you’ll experience the rich diversity of cultures expressed through food—each dish telling a story, honoring traditions, and bringing people together. Please register by June 1.
All-Church Retreat
Save the date for a churchwide retreat in the mountains. This weekend is designed to help us slow down, reconnect with one another and grow in faith. Through worship, outdoor activities, shared meals, and meaningful conversation, we’ll explore how even small faith can move mountains. This intergenerational retreat is open to all — children, youth, adults and families — and offers space to rest, play and experience God in creation and community.

May Concerts at First performance
Concerts at First will host Chamber Music Athens and the internationally acclaimed Ying String Quartet, on May 17 at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary for an afternoon of chamber music from around the world — Spain, Madagascar, France, and Czech Republic — by composers Turina, Ravel, Saint-Saëns, and Dvořák.
Children's Sunday School end of year celebration
On May 17 from 10 to 10:45 a.m., we will celebrate our Sunday School teachers and the end of another great year in Children's Ministry with coffee and a light breakfast on the playground. Parents, children, and friends are welcome to attend.
Atlanta Botanical Garden with Together at First
Step into a burst of color and imagination with Together at First on Thursday, May 14 at the Atlanta Botanical Garden for “Niki in the Garden,” an encore exhibition of monumental sculptures by Niki de Saint Phalle, returning 20 years after its original debut. Meet in the church’s back parking lot at 10:15 a.m. to carpool, returning for lunch and fellowship. Tickets are $20 or $10 for Garden members. Scholarships are available. Daytime Circle will feature George Wirth
The Daytime Circle will welcome our George Wirth to lead Lesson 8, “Jesus and the Emmaus Road.” Coffee and visiting begins at 10 a.m. After our lesson, we will have a light lunch of grilled chicken, salads, and dessert. FPC to have tea with AMIS
AMIS Afternoon of International Tea

The Overlook, North Avenue Presbyterian Church
AMIS (French for “friends”) hosts its third annual Afternoon of International Tea, bringing together international students and the local community for an afternoon of cultural exchange. The event features country tables, international teas and bites, art, entertainment and a silent auction. Open to the public.

Atlanta Opera's Turnandot Community Conversation comes to FPC
First Presbyterian will host the Atlanta Opera at 10:30 a.m. on April 25 for its Community Conversation about the upcoming performances of Turandot.
This 90-minute Community Conversation – moderated by Lois Reitzes – will feature the opera's creative leadership and will invite examine the artistic, philosophical, and ethical questions at the heart of the work.
Framed as an open dialogue rather than a traditional lecture, the event explores how one of opera’s most celebrated yet controversial masterpieces can be presented for contemporary audiences with both honesty and integrity.
Together at First heads to SCAD FASH on April 23
Join us on Thursday, April 23, at SCAD FASH for the exciting new exhibit, Dior: Crafting Fashion. We'll meet in the back parking lot of the church at 10:15 a.m. and carpool to the museum. After the exhibit, we’ll return to the church for lunch and a time of fellowship.

Capital Project Dedication Sunday
On the Way Capital Project Dedication Sunday is Sunday, April 19. We will gather as one congregation to mark this special occasion.
There will be only one worship service that morning at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary.

Meet the 2026 Epiphany Social Venture Finalists and hear from guest speakers Atticus LeBlanc (Founder/CEO PadSplit) and Edward J. “Jack” Hardin, Partner at Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP. As well as a panel discussion facilitated by Dr. Andre Calmon, Associate Professor of Operations Management and Faculty Director of the Ray C. Anderson Center for Sustainable Business at Georgia Tech. Participants will also enjoy small-group mentoring with subject matter experts.

FPC Preschool Auction is April 17
The First Presbyterian Preschool Auction is a celebration of the families, teachers, and staff that make our school special. The “Built to Last” auction on April 17 at 6 p.m. in the Correll Commons will support programs, people, and experiences that help our children grow in faith, confidence, and curiosity.
We hope you can join us for a fun evening that will feature a silent auction, raffle, dinner and drinks (including beer and wine) at the event. Celebrating the last 80 years as a preschool and looking to lay the foundation for the future!

Midweek Lenten Worship
Holding Space is a midweek Lenten worship series offering a quiet pause in the middle of busy weeks. Through Scripture, prayer, silence, and reflection, these 40-minute chapel services invite us to attend to the inner life; holding silence, fragility, lament, attention, and expectation before God. Come once or come often. All are welcome.

Weddings at First Presbyterian Church are worship services during which two people are united in the presence of God. From the historic beauty of the Tiffany stained-glass windows to our stately stone edifice, every element of a wedding here supports this sacred union.
