ANNOUNCEMENTS

2026 Summer Adult Sunday School at FPC Atlanta

Sundays, May 31 to June 28 | 10 a.m. | The Wirth Room
Impact! A study of the early church in Acts 1-4

We welcome you to these five Sundays, taught by FPC Atlanta pastors. The early church made an impact, a long-lasting imprint, on their culture. They lived in community as they tried to live out Jesus’s command to love all people. Acts serves as the bridge between the Gospels and the New Testament books of doctrine. We get a front-row seat to learn how the early Christians took their faith and put into practice. We can learn about our own faith and our own church by studying the church in the First Century.

Other available Sunday School classes are:

PARENTS OF 0-5 YEAR OLDS | The Ellis Room, 156 | 10 a.m.Contact Kristin Wescott, kristin.wescott@gmail.com

PARENTS OF GRADE SCHOOLERS | The Isabella Hinds Room, 160 | 10 a.m.Contact Peyton Bell, peytonbell@gmail.com

Camp Friendship, First Presbyterian Preschool's summer camp, serves children 18 months to rising first graders and will be held June 8–July 24 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a camp extension from 1 to 3 p.m. Each week is centered around a unique theme. Flower Guild asks: 'Do you have any empty vases?'

Are you Spring Cleaning?  Did you find any flower vases? Did you get flowers from the church recently? The Flower Guild uses vases to deliver flowers to our congregation from the Sunday arrangements, and they use lots of them! If your vases are about eight inches tall and clear, they can use them. Please drop them outside the Flower Room across from the Dupre Garden. Questions? Contact Pam Covington at covington1929@gmail.com.

Summer book club registration

Through Aug. 9

This summer, we invite you to read in community as we gather across the city (and on Zoom) to dive into great books and meaningful conversation together. This year’s clubs will explore the theme of humility through a variety of genres and perspectives.

Books will be read between May 25 and August 9, and book club hosts will choose the time and location for their groups.

There is still time to host a group, please contact Saranell Hartman at shartman@firstpresatl.org.

Sign-ups are now live! Click the button at left to browse the book options and choose the group that’s right for you.

Register for September's All-Church Retreat

Sept. 4–7

Save the date for a churchwide retreat in the mountains of Montreat, N.C. This weekend is designed to help us slow down, reconnect with one another and grow in faith. Through worship, outdoor activities, shared meals and meaningful conversation, we’ll explore how even small faith can move mountains.

This intergenerational retreat is open to all—children, youth, adults and families—and offers space to rest, play and experience God in creation and community.

FPC preschool registration is open

First Presbyterian Preschool is a nurturing and joyful learning community in the heart of Midtown Atlanta. Our dedicated teachers foster a love of learning through play, collaboration, and discovery, making each day a meaningful part of early education. Registration for the 2026–2027 preschool year is now open.

Radical hospitality begins at the front door!
