Sunday Mornings for Children at FPC

Childcare is available for children 2 months old through Kindergarten, beginning at 9:00 a.m. and until 12:15 p.m.

Sunday School classes are offered for Preschool and Kindergarten Children from 10:00-10:50 a.m.

All classes are greeted by church staff and children’s ministry volunteers who lead a Bible story, activities, and music time.

Preschool and Kindergarten children also participate in playground time and are offered a Goldfish and water snack. If a family is remaining for 11:00 a.m. worship, this age group is welcome to remain in the classroom for Godly Play, or they may be picked up by parents to attend worship together.

First through Third Graders participate Kids Time where they experience a Bible story led by staff and Children’s Ministry volunteers, and wonder together about the story through activities and discussion. Parents pick-up children from their classroom at the end of the hour.

Godly Play is offered for children in Pre-Kindergarten through Third Grade who do not wish to remain in the 9:10 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. worship services. Godly Play is a Montessori-style approach to Biblical education. It’s a creative, imaginative approach to Christian formation and spiritual guidance. Children also participate in a time of wondering and creating.

Children remaining after 9:10 a.m. worship for Sunday school will be taken to their classrooms. Otherwise, parents should pick-up children from B-111 following worship.
