Confirmation

Confirmation is an opportunity for students to explore Scripture, engage in meaningful conversation, and take the next step in their journey of faith.

At First Presbyterian of Atlanta, Confirmation is an eight-month process for teenagers to consider what it means to claim the promises made at their baptism, to make a public profession of faith, and to enter the membership life of the church. We hope to encourage bonds among our confirmands and help them learn what it truly means to be a member at FPC.

Over the course of the year, confirmands will attend 2 retreats (1 in each semester), and a total of five gatherings. At the end of the spring semester, confirmands present their statements of faith to the Session and officially become members on  Confirmation Sunday.

Open to all 8th and 9th graders, Confirmation runs every other year and will run for the 2027-2028 academic year.
