All Saints Day

Remembering the Communion of Saints

On All Saints' Day, we give thanks for the faithful who have gone before us, remembering especially members of our congregation who have died during the past year. Through scripture, prayer and music, we honor their lives and the ways God's love was made known through them.

In the Presbyterian tradition, saints are not a select few, but all who belong to Christ through grace. We remember that we are part of one communion of saints, united across generations in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

As we name those we have lost, we make room for both grief and gratitude, trusting in God's promise that nothing—not even death—can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
